Sunny Beach is the largest and actively developing Black Sea resort in Bulgaria, which will give you and your children a sea of positivity and many opportunities for an interesting and sunny holiday.
The coast of Sunny Beach is famous for the ecological purity of sea water and beaches. It is not for nothing that it has been awarded the prestigious EU Blue Flag! The beach strip here stretches for 8 kilometers! It is adjoined by natural sand dunes with many rare species of plants. Fans of sunbathing and swimming will not remain indifferent! The gentle entrance, sandy bottom and calm sea make for an ideal holiday with small tourists.
This resort has a huge number of hotels and apartments of various categories: from budget accommodation to luxury suites, ready to satisfy any, even the most demanding tourist. Hospitable and caring staff of local hotels will make you feel at home from the very first minutes, regardless of whether you stay in a 3* or 5* hotel. And buying a property on Sunny Beach will help you to get your own “cottage” at your disposal, where you can spend as much time as you wish!
Sunny Beach is only 35 kilometers from Burgas International Airport (BOJ), making the transfer to the resort only 30 minutes, which is extremely convenient.
You can get here from the airport either by public transport, such as bus (~3 euros) or taxi (~35 euros), or by using a pre-booked individual transfer (~35 euros). It is worth considering, however, that if you choose the bus, you will have to make a transfer, which will slightly increase the travelling time, but will significantly reduce the financial costs.
Active young people will appreciate the variety of parties, discos and entertainment venues, which are becoming more and more numerous every season.
During the day on the beach you can find entertainment for all tastes: the traditional “bananas”, and circles, and other inflatable attractions, which are towed by a boat or scooter; it is renting scooters and catamarans. Fans of kiting and parasailing won’t be bored either. There are also free beach volleyball and football courts on the beach.
On the seafront you can ride a bicycle, quad bike, electric car or segway. You can also take a walk along the promenade on a steam train, which leaves from the stop on the central avenue of the resort, near the Kuban Hotel. In the southern part of the resort you can change to another steam train to reach the Old Nessebar.
As the evening draws in, the “ringers” of Sunny Beach’s many restaurants, bars and cafes will offer you a wide range of choices and you will definitely want to stop by for a taste of delicious Bulgarian food and drink. We recommend you to try the traditional Shopa salad, cold soup “Tarator”, as well as delicious grilled meat, fish and vegetables, as well as dishes with bryndza. Bulgaria is also known for its variety of wines and spirits, which the hospitable hosts of local bars and restaurants will certainly offer you to try. Among the most popular spirits here are rakija, brandy and mastic. It is worth noting that the prices in establishments are very democratic, so it will be quite difficult to lighten your wallet quickly!
Sunny Beach offers numerous playgrounds and parks for children’s holidays. Especially popular here is the Action Water Park, which is a short drive from the resort. With a variety of water slides, a lazy river and several swimming pools, there is something for everyone.
A rich excursion programs will help to diversify your holiday in Sunny Beach. Here you can visit the surrounding sights, for example, the pearl of the Bulgarian coast – the ancient town of Nessebar. Several centuries ago it went under water, and only a small piece of land remained on the spot, where all 40 city temples are gathered. “Underwater Nessebar” can be admired during a boat trip in clear weather. Since 1983 the town has been under the aegis of UNESCO. To get there from Sunny Beach is quite easy, for example, by bus number 1 or by steam trains, about which we wrote earlier.
Another popular program item is the so-called “Bulgarian evening”, which will put you in a good mood and make you fall in love with Bulgarian culture. It includes an unforgettable dinner in the national style with a rich folklore program, nestinar dances on hot coals and a disco.
Sea lovers can go on a yacht picnic, morning fishing, evening boat trip and a “pirate cruise” from here.
One of the most popular excursions is a trip to Istanbul, which includes a city tour with visits to the Blue Mosque, the ancient Hippodrome and the Asian part of the city. The main thing – don’t forget: if you need a national visa to visit Bulgaria, in order to go on an excursion to Istanbul, it must be at least double-entry. And since the beginning of 2013, on the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bulgarian government has eased the visa regime, allowing holders of valid Schengen visas to visit the country without a national Bulgarian visa.
If you want to plunge deeper into the Bulgarian culture and life, we recommend travelling to the capital of Bulgaria – Sofia, the picturesque city of Veliko Tarnovo, climbing to the Freedom Monument on Shipka Pass, where you will discover all the grandeur and beauty of this country!
Many tourists after visiting this resort decide to buy property here. Buying property in Sunny Beach is an extremely affordable and profitable investment.
