According to the TravelNews website, Bulgaria ranks 8th among Germans for early booking of summer vacations for 2024. After the coronavirus pandemic, there was a slight decline in German tourists to Bulgarian resorts, but now the popularity of early bookings for vacations in Bulgaria has recovered.
This suggests that Bulgaria remains an attractive destination for German tourists, despite some temporary difficulties related to the pandemic.
According to the German Tourist Association (DRV), the number of early bookings of rooms in Bulgarian resorts this year is 30% higher than in the same period last year. The growth, although only by 18%, by the same indicator was also noted by the leader in attracting German tourists to Bulgarian Black Sea resorts – tour operator DER Touristik.
From 2025, the German airline SunExpress plans to open new flights to the seaside cities of Varna and Burgas. Another German company, Eurowings, also intends to increase the number of flights to Bulgaria next year.
