All slopes in three ski centers in Bulgaria – Borovets, Bansko and Pamporovo – are covered with snow ahead of the grand opening of the new season, according to BGNES.
The 2024/2025 season will start its march in Borovets on December 15, delighting winter sports lovers. In the Rila Mountains, the snow cover is especially magnificent on the slopes of the Markudzik ski center.
Bansko will open its slopes on December 14. The thickness of the snow cover at the initial station of the cable car is 10 cm, in the picturesque area “Bynderishka Polana” – 50 cm, and on the Todorka peak it boldly reaches 120 cm.
The Pamporovo resort in the Rhodope Mountains, like a marvelous winter fairy tale, is ready to welcome guests, with the season opening on Saturday, December 7.
The Vitosha Mountains near Sofia have already accumulated as much as 40 cm of snow, and a new snowfall is expected before the end of the week, which will only add to the charm of this magical winter symphony.
